Leave a gift that lasts a lifetime
A gift in your will costs nothing today and can transform the next generation of students.
A gift in your will
Many of our most transformative gifts come from alumni and friends who chose to remember us in their wills. Every legacy — whether large or small — is a profound vote of confidence in what we do.
How it works
There are three common ways to leave a gift:
- A residuary gift — a percentage of your estate after other commitments are met. This keeps pace with inflation and is the most popular choice.
- A pecuniary gift — a specific sum.
- A specific gift — an item, share holding, or property.
Your solicitor will guide you through the right wording. We're happy to share suggested phrasing if it would help.
Tax efficiency
Gifts to registered charities are exempt from inheritance tax. Leaving 10% or more of your estate to charity reduces the inheritance tax rate on the remainder from 40% to 36%.
